Welcome to the third season premiere of The Curtain Jerkers, Project Entertainment Network’s podcast that super kicks pro wrestling in the indies.

Your host, veteran podcaster and journalist Token Tom Clark is joined by most of our usual panel of pro wrestling analysts at Project Entertainment Network this week. The Viking, Brian Burton is here, and so is Producer Dan Canastra, but our fearless Floridian, Steve Mesa, is off on assignment.

That sucks for Steve, because we’re sure he wanted to talk to former WWE and ECW superstar Colin Delaney in our Indy Spotlight. Colin is a long time veteran on the the eastern wrestling indies, and we talk about his ties to some of the big names on the current WWE roster, like Luke Harper, and those the WWE are measuring, like Dalton Castle. Not to mention Colin has a match this weekend with CZW’s Chainsaw Joe Gacy at Xcite wrestling’s card on Saturday June 3rd.

We’ve also got our predictions for the WWE Network Event Extreme Rules, and we get into some upcoming cards in the Northeast, Viking has the Indy Power Rankings from last week and we’ll get into some of the news that’s out there, including the WWE’s plummeting ratings.

The Curtain Jerkers #100

Welcome to Episode 100 of The Curtain Jerkers, Project Entertainment Network’s podcast that super kicks pro wrestling in the centennials.

It’s a special event like none other, albeit bittersweet. Host Token Tom Clark and company start it off remembering the loses to the East Coast indy scene in Wayne Van Dyke and Glen Post. Unfamiliar with Glen? He’s was the first and only wrestling manager in history with Spina Bifida. We talk to those close to Glen in the indy business, Keith Zimmer and Axel Lennox.

Then Steve Mesa, The Viking Brian Burton and Producer Dan Canastra take a trip down memory lane as we remember 8 and half years of podcasting; from the 2CWFancast to the Main Event to finally to the Curtain Jerkers.

With special guests Dewey Brooks and Pete Wrightsman of the 2CWFancast and our brother in arms Brodie Kratz, who returns to get questioned by the Viking.

But that’s not all, in this special double sized edition of the Curtain Jerkers!

We’ve also got the Indy Power Rankings, the guys preview indy cards on their must see lists and we give our predictions for NXT Takeover Chicago and the WWE Network Event Backlash, plus all the news that’s worth talking about, including Randy Orton, Phil Brooks, Braun Strowman, and, of course, who could forget Perry Saturn and his latest video.

For your pleasure, we introduce our newish format, spotlighting the indy stars out busting their asses in legions and high school gyms while keeping a 40 hour a week shoot job.

And who better to kick that off than our good friend, Hybrid Sean Carr. Sean may very well be the top indy guy in the Northeast right now, and he joins us to talk about his work ethic and history in the business.

But that’s not all.

With less WWE talk there is more of a focus on the up and coming guys we love, even in the news. We heard Billy Corgan bought NWA, Matt Gold experiences Curtain Jerkers shenanigans as tries to find the naked pictures of Charlotte Flair, Steve fills us in on Ronin 14, and Viking has the Indy Power Rankings for us.

And we can’t forget the Super Juniors is starting, and we’ll let you know who is participating in the extremely popular Japanese tournament and ask the question, “Can Will Osprey become the first ever 2 time winner of the Super Juniors?”

We’ve got Curtain Jerkers shenanigans when Don Bump and Ali Burns make another call to WWE customer service with surprising results.

The Curtain Jerkers #2.44

Welcome to season 2 episode 44 of the Curtain Jerkers, Project Entertainment Network’s podcast that superkicks pro wrestling in the pants. Your typical host, Token Tom Clark is absent this week, as is most of our panel of wrestling analysts over at Project Entertainment Network. The Viking, Brian Burton, is off raiding and pillaging, Producer Dan is producing, what it is we really don’t want to know, and the inmates are in charge; all at Steve Mesa’s expense. Last weekend Steve moderated the Art of Professional Wrestling panel at Supercon Retro in Miami, FL. Featuring our friend, comic book writer Michael Kingston (HEADLOCKED), wrestler Main Man Malken and ring announcer for Evolve, Rob Naylor. Steve heads up this must listen panel. It’s one that takes a different approach to wrestling, not as sports entertainment, but as performance art.
