Arm Cast Podcast: Episode 178 – Charron And Trask

Two great interviews for your listening enjoyment this week!

Kelly Charron is the author of YA and adult horror, psychological thrillers and urban fantasy novels. All with gritty, murderous inclinations and some moderate amounts of humor. She spends far too much time consuming true crime television (and chocolate) while trying to decide if yes, it was the husband, with the wrench, in the library. Kelly has a degree in English Literature as well as a Social Work degree. She has worked as a hairstylist, youth outreach worker and education assistant. She lives with her husband and cat, Moo Moo, in Vancouver, British Columbia.

TD Trask is the author of the horror anthology Banquet of Souls and coauthor (with Dale Elster) of Deadsville. His dark tales range in tone from humorous to downright disturbing. He is currently at work editing a novel, writing another novel, and working on two other anthologies. One of these is a sequel to the coauthored anthology, titled Return to Deadsville.

Library at the End of the World – Episode 2

In our second installment, Jim begins the show with talking about his theories on why end of the world fiction is so popular.  Then, the focus shifts over to prepper fiction, such as how it is different from other types of end of the world stories and what is the Prepper Fiction Checklist.  From there, Jim talks to popular prepper fiction author Franklin Horton, author of Borrowed World.  They discuss how that series began, what prompted the writing of the books, and how realistic the plot might actually be.  Jim wraps up with the Three Minute Survival Tip, this time discussing the importance of water.
